Finished a WIP and Started Something New

As things get crazy towards the end of the school year, sometimes my sewing had to take a back seat to life.  But to keep myself happy, I have been working on finishing this WIP (Work In Progress) from last Fall. I took this Moroccan Lullaby class from Melissa Corry at the Utah Quilt Guild's Quilt Fest. I don't like to have a lot of WIP's so I took a short break from writing patterns to finish this quilt up.

I really love just sitting down at my sewing machine and "zoning out" while my machine whirls away. Next thing I know, it is all done! I kept it simple on this one. I outlined the color lines and did a meandering swirl on the white. I love the texture that had developed.

Also this week, I have been playing around with an early Mother's Day present. It is a ruler foot and ruler for my domestic machine. I am excited to do a ton of quilting with it!

As the week draws to a close, I started on my next pattern. This is the fabric selection I have for it.

Fabric Selection in Browns, Green, and Yellows

This is a theme that I have been wanting to do for a while now, and if my quilting works out the way my drawings did, it will be great!

Check back next week for an update on my progress, and maybe some more sneak peeks!

Have fun quilting!
