Putting Together the How-To Block of the Month - Without Sashing

For the last few years, I have providing instructions each month for How-To make a different quilt block. There is no purpose to these blocks except to experiment, learn new things, and have some fun!

Stack of Quilt Blocks

The following is one option of putting those blocks together. This option gives the block requirements for multiple quilt sizes without sashing and without borders.

For these 12 inch finished size blocks, you will need the following:

Twin size quilt top laid out

Crib Size - 4 x 5 = 20 blocks total  (5 rows of 4 blocks each)

Twin Size - 6 x 7 = 42 blocks total

Queen Size - 8 x 8 = 64 blocks total

King Size - 10 x 8 = 80 blocks total

Stitch each row of blocks together. Press each row in alternating directions. Then stitch rows together, matching seams.

For the instructions on how to put together blocks with sashing between the blocks, check out this tutorial.
