I am super excited to participate in the Garden Party Row Along put on by Seams to be Sew! Thanks so much to Marian for putting this on and letting me participate!
This year all the rows are different shapes and sizes and they all have to do with gardens. We have all sorts of gardens. Vegetable gardens, rock gardens, flower gardens, cactus gardens, etc.
Here is the big reveal! My garden row!
I call it "Sunflowers on a Brick Wall." It is not just Sunflowers, but is how it started out as.
I love quilting with geometric shapes and flowers. When the theme for this year’s row along was announced, I ran outside and took this picture as my inspiration.
I loved the idea of these bricks along the edge of a flower garden. I thought that would be fun to make into a quilt!
The bricks are made by strip-piecing and they come together quite easily.
The flowers are appliquéd on. The pattern comes with templates for multiple flowers, stems, and leaves so that you can make it as wild or as simple as you like. They are appliquéd on using the raw edge technique, but you are welcome to use your favorite appliqué method.
Unfinished size is 12.5 x 18.5 inches (32 x 47 cm.)
The instructions for this row are available in my shop. They will be free from September 10th through September 18th, 2020. After that, they will be available for purchase in the same place.
(Please note that you will have to go through the purchase process to download the pattern. The pattern is free and you will not be asked for a payment method. I do not collect or use your information unless you sign up for my newsletter and that would only be your email address.)
Another great part of this Row Along are the giveaways going on! The giveaway associated with my row is an awesome Blade Saver Thread Cutter by Purple Hobbies LLC.
They look so cute and I love all the color options! These would be great for strip piecing.
This prize has a $18.00 value, you pick the color you want, and it includes shipping to anywhere.

I made your wall and love it so much!
Thak you for such a cute pattern, Growing up in Delaware and Eastern PA there were many stone fields that had to be cleared. Thoses stones became walls, houses and borders. Dirt was sometimes put on top with with flowers taking root. This is how I see this row in my mind.
Your row is very cute! Thanks for the pattern. i did read the shipping rules on Marian’s blog
This turned out wonderfully Becky. I love the color choices and the design of your pattern. I’m so happy you participated in the row along again this year and my sincerest apologies for commenting so late from your day.
